Shortly after I got back from Redang on 2nd March, I received a call from Mr. Tong of Sekolah Menengah Kepong Baru informing me of his intention to bring a group of 88 students and teachers/facilitators to visit Chagar Hutang (CH) on the 8th of March. I was just too tired to think of going back to Redang again to set the place up to receive visitors so early in the season. But Mr Tong was insistent, saying that this was his only chance of bringing the students to visit our highly recommended turtle sanctuary.
Hence, accompanied by Pelf, it was back to Redang again on the 7th. We managed to display all the new posters outdoors and shaped the place up to receive our visitors the next day. The Turtle Gallery looked spick and span and even the new signboards made last year were put up. The four of us (myself, Pelf, Mahadi and Fifi) were a satisfied but tired lot by the end of the day.

Our visitors arrived in 2 boats at about 10.30 am the next day. They were divided into two groups, with Pelf briefing one group and me the other. All of them signed the pledge to not eat turtle or terrapin eggs. They also helped clean the beach. I do hope the students have learnt something new. I will continue to improve on the outdoors exhibits to maximise visitor satisfaction.
