Perhentian Marine Turtle Volunteer Program
Originally founded by Way Out Experiences (WOX) in 2003, the program is based at Bubbles Dive Resort in Perhentian Besar Island. Beginning 2009, the volunteer program has been managed solely by Ecoteer.

Redang Island Marine Turtle Volunteer Program
Founded by E.H. Chan and H.C. Liew in 1998 under the Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU), which was later renamed to the Turtle Research and Rehabilitation Group (TRRG) under Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. It is the oldest and longest running marine turtle volunteer program in Malaysia. The program was headed by Chan until her retirement from the university in May 2009.
