A big THANK YOU to everybody who had helped promote the Turtle Blogathon (especially you bloggers), as well as everybody who had helped publicized the event, dropped by, chatted and visited us during the Turtle Blogathon.
Also, a heart-felt THANK YOU to those of you who have made a donation to the Turtle Conservation Centre (TCC). Like we have said countless times, no amount is too little or too much, and like we have promised you many times over, the donations will be used to support turtle conservation projects that the TCC carries out.
Special thanks also go to the following individuals / companies (in alphabetical order):

- Brennan Caverhill for announcing the Turtle Blogathon on the Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute (MTRI) website.
- Brett Curtis for helping promote the Turtle Blogathon on the HerpHut Facebook Fan page and HerpHut forums, despite finding out about the event just days before.
- Heather Lowe of Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) for helping us promote the Turtle Blogathon in the TSA Facebook Group and in the Oct 23rd newsletter.
- Hilary Chiew
- Lai May Leng, for introducing us to Max Generation Sdn. Bhd.
- Lim Puay Aun
- Max Generation Sdn. Bhd. for sponsoring prizes and packages for TCC to raise funds.
- Rahayu Zulkifli
- Sean Augustin
- The New Straits Times for carrying our Turtle Blogathon story
- The Star for carrying our Turtle Blogathon story
- Visitors who dropped by physically at Chan’s place — Vicki Chew, Gan Yew Sun, CK Chong, Chark Ling Wei, Azimi, Yeong Yee Ling
And last but not least, to everybody who has participated in the Turtle Blogathon in one way or another, we could never have possibly gotten this far without you guys. THANK YOU.
In the past 24 hours, we have published 31 blog posts, generated about 150 comments, made some friends and had lots of fun!
The amount of funds raised in the past 24 hours is RM 3,800 (James donated RM 300 after the blogathon has ended). You may still continue to donate to TCC if you wish to as we will be leaving the DONATE link intact :)
Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely,
Chan, Pelf and Fong

Amazing job well done to Prof. Chan, Pelf and Fong! Although it’s a tiring work (yeah, I caught a few times that Fong eyes wanted to shut down when I was sitting on the sofa), but you ladies made it through. Together, not only will we able to rescue these turtles, but to save the most of what we can from the marine ecosystems. (“,)
congrats ppl and keep up the good job..
Congratulations! You make the entire turtle community proud. You have not only raised funds, you have raised awareness of an important issue. Well done!
Thank you Steve, for your generous donations, and continuous support!
Thanks Steve. You have given us so much encouragement all through the event. You have been exceedingly generous to us and touched our hearts.
Hi Prof And Pelf and Gang!
Am sorry I couldn’t join the blogathon as I was caught up in other stuff…but rest assured that I will be catching up on the informative posts! What a great Event!
Especially when it never crossed my mind that some would consider the graceful animals to be poisonous! Take that from me who got a full-minute-bite from an angry river terrapin mummy while at Dungun 4 years ago! On my birthday nonetheless! Of course it wasn’t the terrapin’s fault… but me and mine alone for not knowing how to handle it… :-) I have the scars to show.. a proud scar too!
Anyway congrats!
By the way; Mr Choo also would not be able to make it to the Environmental Carnival Come January. You two are the Conservationists I know who offered me so many opportunities to get closer to nature, will be indebted to you all for that… and for the weird and wonderful memories…
I still remember seeing the flock of Hornbills flying over head in Dungun and the eerie calls of the burung Gembala Harimau.. thanks to the Perhilitan Officer who gave me too much information haha
Ooops… that’s me… sidetracking again…
Are you sure some of you can’t show up for the Carnival? It’ll be a big event involving many NGOs, companies… To send the conservation message wide.. I’m considering inviting a few secondary schools to come for the event as well.. for early exposure. I wouldn’t mind setting up a volunteer stall for Turtle conservation Centre but It just wouldn’t be the same without your presence. But I guess it does take some traveling to get here.. Hopefully MNS, WWF, Wildasia will also be here and you all will be able to forge alliances etc? Hopefully we will be able to work something out.
Till then, Keep you the good work!
Sincerely,
Raoul.
Amazing job. Jz drop by to congrat u all ladies…=)
Congrates to you all.. Prof, Pelf and Fong. * hugs hugs.. *
Thanks everyone for all the accolades. It has been a learning experience for the 3Cs and the best thing I learnt was that we have many friends who will stick their necks out to support us and share our dreams.
